Who We Are

The Wolfe City Public Library was founded in 1966 and is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit library.  The library is located in far northeast Hunt County in Wolfe City, Texas at 204 E. Williams Street.  The library is housed in the historic Santa Fe Railroad Depot, built in 1911. 

The Wolfe City Public Library provides free services to all who enter.  The library holds over 17,000 materials including books, DVD's, videos, and audio books.  The library also contains a large section with children's and adult books for sale.  Youth programs are offered throughout the year.

Within the library is the Children's Reading Station that includes Easy reader and Junior reader fiction and non-fiction, Spanish language books, Teen and Young Adult fiction, reference materials, and children's DVD's and videos.  Adult sections include fiction and non-fiction, Christian fiction, large-print books, reference materials, local Texas genealogy and reference, and special sections for Texas fiction and non-fiction, and home-schooling.

The library offers printing, copying, faxing, notary services, wi-fi, and computers with Internet access.

The mission of Wolfe City Public Library is to provide the community and its surrounding rural areas an open and inviting center for learning, culture, recreation, and information.
