Library Services

Everything we do for you, inside the library or out

Circulation Services

The Library is open six days a week for a total of 33.5 hours.  The circulation  staff consists of a Director, Vice-director and volunteers.  They will be glad to assist in any way they can.

If we do not carry an item that you want, the staff will be able to get it for you through the Interlibrary Loan program.  You will be asked to pay postage for Interlibrary Loan materials.  Requests are usually filled in seven to ten business days.  Some difficult to locate materials may take a longer waiting period.

TexShare

We are a TexShare library and honor TexShare card holders from other libraries.

Youth and Teen Services

The library emphasis for youth of the community is long standing.  We offer Story-Time on Wednesdays from 9:45 - 10:30am for pre-schoolers and their parents.  In addition, the library hosts a Summer Reading Program during the month of July for children who have completed Kindergarten through fourth grade or fifth through seventh grade Tuesdays and Thursdays 1-2:30.  Summer reading programs are available for all young people in the community.

Reference Assistance

The library strives to assist with all your information needs and referrals.

Outreach Activities

Library volunteers cater to the needs of shut-ins and homebound by delivering and retrieving books upon request.

The Library's Collection

The library has a growing collection of more than 17,000 books, audio books, and DVD's available for checkout.  Millions of titles from across the nation are available through the Interlibrary loan program.   In addition, we have available with the help of the state library a large collection of full text journal and newspaper articles through the TexShare database program.

Community Spaces in the Library

A community room is available for meetings, tutoring or quiet study.
