Your Library Card
Who can get a card
All people ages 6 and above living in the Wolfe City Community Area of Hunt County or Fannin County are eligible for a library card. There is no charge for the card. However, if your card is lost or misplaced, there will be a $1.00 charge to replace it. The card gives you access to all library materials and use of the library's computers. Minors require parental authorization to get a card. Parent should be eligible to get a card or have a card in their name in good standing with the library. Family cards are available upon request.
How to Get Your Card
Library cards are issued at the circulation desk. Please bring proof of your address. If you do not have a phone, you will be required to have a family member or friend's phone number as a contact.
Borrowing Limits
During your first visit, you are allowed to check out only two items. Subsequent checkouts are limited to eight items per person. Books, including books on tape, are checked out for a two week period. Movies for one week.
Placing Holds
You may reserve or put on hold an item that was not immediately available. When that item becomes available, the staff will contact you by phone or e-mail as you prefer. You have 48 hours to check out the item that you had placed on reserve.
Renewing Your Borrowed Items
Borrowed materials may be renewed twice as long as they are not on reserve. Renewals can be done by phone or in person.
Library Fines
Over due items carry a fine of twenty cents per day per book and one dollar per day per movie.
Lost or Damaged Items
If the items you checked out were lost or returned damaged, you will be required to pay replacement cost of the item plus a $2.00 processing fee.
